Thing 3: Create a Blog Post About Something Technology Related

This week, we're going easy on you.  Simply blog about anything technology related. Yes, it can be anything that relates to technology! You just need to share a few thoughts.  Also be sure add at least one comment to another participant's blog. That's what online communities are all about - connecting and communication!  

I heart technology, so this is an easy one for me.  But if you can't find anything interesting on your own, here are a few of the more curious and intriguing technology-related things I've discovered lately that might inspire you:
Some questions to ponder:
  • How has technology already changed your job?  Your personal life?
  • How do you think we can best prepare to serve the upcoming generations who are tech-savvy at a very young age?  
  • How could you current library services be enhanced by technology?  Or how have they been enhanced already?

    I checked out Screen Toaster, but it's apparently toast! http://www.screentoaster.com/ I hope it was fun while it lasted. Animoto rocks. I use it to make book trailers. If anyone's interested, I'm happy to share.

    Animoto for book trailers, what a great idea! I have used it only for greeting cards to friends and relatives.

    It's so ironic to see Columbus Neighborhoods listed here. That's my hometown and I was just there two weeks ago and I saw information about this site during my visit.

    I hope Kansas City's Big Read got more attention elsewhere than it seemed to on GoodReads. It didn't look as if READERS were actually commenting, just the moderators. I'm very impressed by my friends who post a lot to GoodReads. I'd like to keep track at least of books I WANT to read (wish our holds system allowed us to add a note to ourselves about why we want that book), but there isn't enough time to read as it is now.

    Ack - sorry about the Screentoaster being toast. We removed it but isn't that Columbus Neighborhoods site cool? I love thinking about how it could translate to library services!

    And GoodReads rocks - we're getting to that a little later - I'm a huge fan and use it a ton!
